Before you get all crazy, card counting is legal in most United States Jurisdictions. It IS NOT CHEATING. Some casinos don’t like card counting but unless you are a professional card counter which most casinos will ban from the table. Most beginners will try to card count but find it hard to concentrate on counting the cards as well as trying to play. Other players who are new to the game don’t understand what card counting is so we will explain.

A basic strategy will give the player optimal plays for any situation and that is based on millions of hands of Blackjack are played in the long run. But looking at the short term, when the cards are dealt from the deck, the deck is realistically incomplete. Now, by keeping track of the cards that have already been played. It is possible for a player to know when the cards that are left to be played are going to be an advantage to other players.

Card counting brings about two opportunities. The player can make larger bets because they think they know when the cards are going to be of help to them. For example, let’s say that the player increases the starting bet if he believes that there are aces and tens left in the deck which are key card in hitting a Blackjack. Or the player can take the information about the cards and use that information to improve the basic strategy rules for certain hands. Sounds too confusing, here is an example. It there are many 10’s believed to be in the deck, and then the player may double down in more situations since there is a better chance of making the players hand better.

If you are the kind of player who finds it hard to concentrate on the game much less anything else. Then there are other card counting methods that don’t involve card counting. The system is a point system that is given to the cards. The player is able to keep track of the cards through a simple point count, meaning as the cards are being dealt they are being counted.

Sometimes the rules of the game are different depending on which US casino you go to and what rules they choose to use. The basic strategy decreases the advantage of the casino by only less than one percent. If the dealer at the table is a double deck then the reduction of the house’s advantage is not that good.

You really need a good idea of how statistics work in order to be a successful card counter. If you are reading this then chances are you are a beginning and the rules are hard enough to understand with all the splits, double downs and the purpose of a double deck is all a lot to take in. Trying to learn to count the cards while you are sitting at the table can cost you money rather than make you money. If card counting is something you are interested in doing, do more research, if you are going to do it then you may as well do it right.

If you are new to the game you should know how to play the game as well as how to act at the table. Here are some tips for the first time player.

Tip # 1: Once you have placed your bet, you are not allowed to touch the chips. The reason being is that a dealer may think you are trying to sneak chips into the betting pool because you have a good hand. It could be perceived as cheating.

Tip # 2: If you are playing a London Deal, when you get your card face up do not touch your cards at all. The reason being is so that the casino can take out the chance of someone marking the cards.

Tip # 3: When you are doubling down, put the additional bets next to the chips of the first bet, and never stack the chips.

Tip # 4: If you are playing Nevada Deal, the dealer deals two cards, do not pick those cards up with two hands only use one and always keep in the cards above the table always in plain sight.

When you are playing your deals at the Blackjack table it really isn’t that easy as shouting out to the deal to Hit or Stand. In a noisy crowded casino it would almost impossible and even more confusing it would be with a full table. If you have watch a Blackjack game take notice that the players use hand signals to communicate with the dealer.

A dealer will always keep their eyes on the cards not the player’s faces so it makes the communication of the dealer and the player much easier than everyone shouting at once. If you want to have the dealer hit, then what you would do is make a brushing or scratching noise behind the cards. You can even tap the cards as a signal to hit.

When you want to stay or stand just wave your hand from side to side over the cards. That will signal the dealer not to give you more cards. It is very important to pay very close attention to the game. You don’t want to hold up the game for the dealer or other players.

Tip # 5 Always keep you eyes on the game, never take your eyes off the cards or the table. If wish to order a drink wait until you finish the hand or sit out a hand. A distraction can end up costing you a lot of money for many different reasons.

Tip # 6: Try never to exchange cash for chips at the table. Always change at the coin cage. It takes away from the game and holds it up when a player comes to the table not prepared.

If you can follow these tips and make sure you know and understand the rules before you sit down then you can have a successful turn at the game whether you win or lose. You want to have fun without causing any type of chaos at the table.

Blackjack is one if not the most popular card game played in online casinos all over the world. Blackjack is also called 21 because of the goal of the game. Most people before they play the game always think how easy it would be to win , after all how hard can it be, we have played in our kitchen so many times and I always win. Most people say that but when you are in the middle of a game with splits and double downs and insurances. When you are playing with a table full of people and single or double decks, it just doesn’t see so easy now does it?

The goal of the game is for each player to beat the dealer by having a higher card total then they do without going over 21. If a player goes over 21 then the player busts which means loses and then dealer can go over over 21 as well and the player will bust but no one wins because in the game of Blackjack the dealer is favored. Now, if the player and the dealer have the same card total, that is called a push and neither the player nor the dealer win.

When you play with a table full of people, you are not playing against the table you are playing against the dealer as is everyone else. So if a player at the table goes bust against the dealer, your game continues. Each table will have a minimum bet sign placed on the table, in most casinos the bet minimum can be as low as $ 5 and as high as $ 500. Once the bets are placed the dealer will deal the cards, she will give you one card face down and one card face up the deal is called a pitch. The card that is face down is called the hole card.

Once the cards are deal the player has some options he could do, the first option is called the
Hit: the hit is when the player takes another card

Stand: this is when a player will play the cards he already has

Double Down: The Double the bet and take only one more cards and then he will stand.

Split: this is when a player will double the bet and have each card be the first card in a new hand. The option of the split is only there when the player has two cards of the same value.

Surrender: This is when a player forfeits half of the bet and then gives up his cards. This game is really no longer played in most casinos.

The end of the hand happens when the player busts or the dealer busts or someone wins. There are many different things happening in the game and for first time players it can be a little overwhelming. If you are new to the game, chose a table that doesn’t have too many players and a small minimum bet.

There are different games that exist in the game of Blackjack; there is the straight game of 21 and other games that have just slight rule changes. These extra rules or rule changes keep the game fun and interesting. If you are a new player to the game then this variations may be a bit difficult to understand, until you get the original rules down pat, try to stick to the straight game of Blackjack.

The most common variation of the game are:

The Only One Card for Split Aces: this is a single new card that is added to each Ace and then the turn is over. This is called an 11 point cards. No other denominations are subject to the game.

Multiple Splits: This happens when a player splits 2 cards and the player gets a third card of the same value, then the hand can be split again. Some casinos only allow 2splits. This is sounds a bit confusing we can help you visualize it better. For example, if the dealer gives you two Queens, you can either play the two Queens or you can call a split, this is when you take each Queen and make them a hand of their own and then you play from those two hands but if the dealer deals you another Queen or Jack or King then you can take that card and make that a third hand if the casino allows.

The Double Down Restrictions: The Double Down may only be allowed on a certain combination of cards such as cards totaling 9, 10 or an 11.

Double Down after a Split: Double downs may not be allowed after you split the cards. The splits are played normally.

Split any tens: Players who have cards that are worth 10 points (like a ten, Jack or a Queen, it cannot be a combination of cards, just a single card). Some casinos do not play this variation because 20 is a very strong hand and most players prefer to play the cards a 20 rather than try to split it, your odds are better leaving it as a 20 hand.

European No Hole Card Rule: This is a rule variation where the dealer receives one only card and that card is dealt face up and the dealer will not receive a second card until the player has chosen his next move. What this can mean is that a player can lose the original bet but also any money that is invested from splitting or even doubling down. The game that has a no hole card doesn’t mean that you will lose additional bets along with the original bets.

Blackjack has many different aspects to it and sometimes with all of the rule variations it can be fun and a bit more exciting but at the same time it may be to confusing for first time players. There is nothing wrong with trying the variations but your goal in playing blackjack is to win.

When you play Blackjack, this is one of the only card games or actually any of the casino games that has a bit of players control. When a player can decrease the advantage the casino has even to the smallest percentage by playing is called a basic player strategy. The strategy the player uses will allow him to decide whether or not he should hit, stand, split or double down. What makes the player’s strategy work is the player’s eye on his cards as well as the dealer’s cards that are faced up on the table.

Each hand depending on the cards given will depend on what strategy he will employ. No other game can a player control what he does. Poker is also a card game that can allow some strategy but when you don’t get the cards you need then the hand is over. With Blackjack, you are playing against the house not the other players. So all you have to do is concentrate on your cards as well as the card the dealer is putting down. That is partly what makes this game a bit easier to control.

There are many different types of strategy employed in this game because the combination of cards is limitless. One strategy is called the Composition dependent strategy. This is based on a player’s card total and the dealer’s cards that he can see. What happens next will depend on what the player has in their hands which is called the composition. The next move is composition dependent meaning the strategy they will use will all depend on what the make up of their cards are.

An example of composition strategy would be this, a player should normally stand when he is holding 12 against a dealer 4, but when playing a single deck game the player will want to hit if the hand has a 10 or a 2 to make up the 12 he is holding, the reason why is because the player wants to receive any cards other than a 10 if the player is hitting and the 10 that is in the players hand will be one less card to the dealer to pull out.

Keep mind that that there are different situations where either basic strategy will come in or the composition dependent strategy will come in. In addition the strategy will depend on whether or not there is a single or double deck. It there is a double deck then the house most likely will retain the advantage, because no matter how many other players are playing the chances of the higher cards being dealt is decreased because there are 2 decks.

When you are playing any kind of game whether it is Blackjack or Checkers, any good player will have strategies and there is nothing wrong with that because that is what a good player does to increase his odds of winning. The casinos have the advantage 80 percent of the time but if you take you time and think of your next move then you can turn in the advantage in your favor.
